1. EDM

Electrical discharge machining process is: between the tool and workpiece continually occur pulsed spark discharges producing local, transient high temperature, which keeps the metal melting, gasifying and removing. Sparks of the discharge process being visible, it is called electrical discharge machining.

2. WEDM

WEDM is developed on the basis of electron discharge maching. The technology uses spark discharges from the linear electrodes (molybdenum wire or copper wire) to cut the workpiece, so it also called wire cut.
